Steps Beyond Enterprises, Inc. is proud to announce their association with employment attorney, Kimberly Gilmour, Esq. This association was formed to further assist our clients; specifically those clients without legal representation. The expertise of Attorney Gilmour can help guide a company through organizational growth and protect them from unnecessary litigation or negative exposure. 

Overview:
Attorney Gilmour’s law practice primarily involves dealing with employment law challenges. She assists all size companies and corporations and provides counsel in the areas of workforce issues, employment handbooks, manuals, policies, procedures, contracts and training. Her extensive litigation experience includes cases alleging age, sex, race and disability discrimination, as well as handling numerous administrative matters before Federal and State agencies. She handles real estate and contract disputes and has an extensive background in drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements.

Brief History:
Kimberly joined the firm of Tripp Scott in 1985 and became the first female partner in 1992. In 2000, she opened her own private practice. She is a Florida Supreme Court certified mediator for circuit and county court, and serves as a public arbitrator for the National Association of Security Dealers and the Better Business Bureau - Auto Line.  In March 2001 she completed the Florida Supreme Court Arbitrator Training Program. Kimberly brings a keen insight and understanding of the benefits of mediation and the major effect conflict has on a company’s bottom line.

A graduate of the College of New Rochelle with a bachelor’s degree in history and political science, she received a Juris Doctor degree in 1984 from Nova Southeastern University Law Center. She was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1985 and to the Federal District Court Trial Bar in 1994.

Kimberly is an established leader in both her profession and the community; she was the chair of the newly created Equal Opportunities in the Profession Section of the Florida Bar and has served as president of the Broward County Women Lawyers. She is also active in the Federal and Broward County Bar Associations and past president of the Healthy Mothers-Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County, Inc. Kimberly is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). In recognition of her community leadership, Kim received NAWBO’s the VISTA award, and in 2000 was named Woman of the Year by the American Cancer Society.
